Thomas A. Arzt, LCSW, BCD, is an experienced licensed clinical social worker providing mental health services at his office in Miller Place, New York. Understanding the relationship between the mind, emotions, and body, Tom takes a holistic approach to care, focusing on whole-body health and how it affects your mental state.

Tom treats a number of mental health conditions, including depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and attention deficit disorder (ADD). He customizes each patient’s therapy plan, using various techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

Tom is a Vietnam veteran and served in the United States Air Force (USAF) Medical Corp. He understands the effect that active duty has on mental well-being and provides veteran mental health services for all veterans.

Tom received his Master of Social Work at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, and was a recipient of the Herman Muehlstein Award. He’s also a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD).

Dedicated to his profession, Tom is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
